Behavior Change Progress Report
Scope and Purpose
At the start of the process, my aims were, to lose weight, make right food choices, take a balanced diet, exercise, and quit smoking.
Progress
The journey has not been easy and along the way, I have some encountered ups and downs. Quit smoking has proved to be a major. When I don’t smoke I suffer from severe withdrawal symptoms such as headaches and body trembles.Apart from that, I have been able to kill two birds by a single stone by exercising regularly at the same time losing some weight. I have been able to eat a balanced diet and avoiding fast foods and taking more of green vegetable than animal products.
Additional Work
To track my progress and also ensure that I achieve my goals, I have created tools for helping me. For tracking, I have designed a task tracking schedule. Each time I manage and complete a task as required I reward myself positively. In order to prevent me from falling into temptations, I have a digital reminder with pictures of the results if I fall for it.
Weaknesses and Strengths
I have weaknesses in resisting fast food and losing focus because I get bored easily by routine. To improve on this, I have tried to make the project fun. I downloaded an app which reshuffles my day’s tasks into various order. My strong point is that I tend to get excited when I get want I need and I never want to go back. So far, I don’t need to change anything in the project because, on a daily basis, I achieve most of my aims. The project is going well and through it, I have learned two important things in my life- discipline, and self-control
